Stores Accounting Analyst

Overview

The Stores Accounting Analyst holds responsibility for overseeing the financial operations, reconciliation tasks, and reporting associated with Nadel's e-commerce and company store programs. This position acts as the main accounting liaison coordinating efforts between Clients, Sales, Client Services, Operations, and Finance to guarantee precise financial reporting, uphold inventory accountability, and manage escrow funds effectively.

Location: This role is based onsite at Nadel's headquarters located at 5820 Uplander Way, Culver City, CA 90230.

Compensation: Annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct reconciliations on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for e-commerce stores and client program accounts.
• Compile comprehensive reconciliation reports to present to clients.
• Maintain updated reconciliation schedules and supporting documents.
• Scrutinize transactions to identify and correct inconsistencies.
• Ensure all store-related activities are properly documented and reconciled within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee and reconcile client escrow and prepaid store funds.
• Track and report on escrow fund balances.
• Act as the primary accounting contact concerning store programs, liaising between clients and internal teams including Sales, Client Services, Operations, and Finance.
• Deliver financial data in a professional manner suitable for client interactions.

Candidate Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Possess between 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting, reconciliation, inventory accounting, or financial reporting.
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including usage of Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and managing complex reconciliation workbooks.
• Strong grasp of accounting concepts, inventory accounting practices, and account reconciliation processes.

Skills and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills capable of handling large datasets and generating precise, client-friendly reconciliation documentation.
• Experience reconciling transactions for e-commerce stores, escrow accounts, merchant deposits, and client billings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with close attention to detail, ensuring discrepancies are effectively addressed.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the capability to collaborate productively with clients and cross-functional teams (Sales, Client Services, Finance).
