Job description
Position Overview
The Storeroom Assistant role focuses on ensuring accuracy and organization in financial record-keeping and documentation. You will verify entries, maintain financial files, and work with electronic systems to manage financial data effectively.
Key Duties
- Validate figures, postings, and documents to ensure correct entries, mathematical precision, and proper coding.
- Organize and safeguard files, records, cash, and cash equivalents following company policies.
- Record, retrieve, and analyze computerized financial data using electronic tools.
- Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets related to financial and accounting information.
- Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data with journals, ledgers, or computers.
- Generate and distribute various reports including statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, and payroll data.
- Carry out period-end closing duties and prepare associated reports.
- Prepare, examine, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and statements as per procedural guidelines.
- Adhere to company policies including dress code and confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Secure company assets and uphold privacy standards for guests and colleagues.
- Address guest service needs professionally and timely.
- Communicate clearly in person, by phone, and email using proper etiquette.
- Handle physical tasks like moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without help.
- Collaborate positively with coworkers to achieve shared goals and respond appropriately to concerns.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least one year of related prior work experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No specific licenses or certifications necessary.
