Ventia is hiring a Storeperson for its Barrow Island operation, with a FIFO roster of 15 days on and 13 days off. The point of hire is Perth, Western Australia. This opportunity sits within the well servicing environment and offers exposure to a large drilling and well servicing business.

The position offers a day rate of $579.96, which includes casual loading and is paid as a flat rate. The company is experiencing growth and is looking to add to the team on Barrow Island.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the movement of materials and goods around the store, including forklift-based handling where required, while maintaining safe warehouse and housekeeping standards.
• Carry out regular stocktakes and support accurate inventory control.
• Receive deliveries, verify items, and arrange proper storage and stock placement.
• Keep warehouse stock locations organised and up to date.
• Maintain yard laydown areas for stock holding and staging, including waste separation and disposal.
• Use computers and common office software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Manage changing workloads independently and plan tasks effectively.
• Work through issues in a practical way, showing initiative and a willingness to learn.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or store environment, including familiarity with inventory systems and stock control processes.
• Ability to work without constant supervision and organise variable workloads.
• Competence with computers and standard software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• An open driver’s licence and a forklift licence are desirable.
• Capability to do physically demanding work and remain active for long periods.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to follow direction.
• Comfort working in tough weather conditions.
• A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work well with others.
