Job Overview
This role involves picking, staging, and delivering automotive parts safely to professional customers, handling returns, and promoting sales through flyer distribution and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, stage, and deliver parts to professional clientele.
- Collect and return product cores and manage returns logistics.
- Distribute sales flyers regularly and actively promote loyalty programs and current sales.
- Manage daily collection of credit accounts effectively.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local and national professional customers, sharing delivery insights with customer service teams.
- Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to boost average transaction values.
- Uphold store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, display facing, dusting, and parking areas.
- Contribute to stock management through truck stocking, back stock organization, and cycle counts.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory and newly arrived products to assist customers.
- Interact with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable parts or services.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.

- Competency in basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with various units of measure.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Confidence in customer engagement and product promotion.
- Motivation to learn about new automotive products and sales strategies.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Experience within the automotive parts industry is preferred.
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is mandatory.
Physical Requirements
Role demands include standing and walking predominantly, verbal communication, manual dexterity, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Candidates should be able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with help. Vision standards cover close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment
Predominantly indoor working conditions with occasional exposure to outdoor weather, mechanical hazards, high places, chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, vibrations, and moderate noise levels.
Compensation Details
The expected hourly pay for new hires ranges from 17.60 to 18.85 Canadian dollars. Actual compensation depends on location, retail and automotive experience, education, leadership skills, and shift differentials.
