STEM Researcher

Role Overview

We are looking for a full-time STEM Researcher to remotely work on complex problems aimed at testing the boundaries of large language models (LLMs). The candidate will be tasked with designing and solving advanced STEM challenges while delivering detailed, clear, and logically reasoned solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and solve demanding STEM questions to explore and evaluate the limits of LLM performance.
• Produce high-standard, stepwise solutions that clearly articulate the reasoning process.
• Partner with LLM researchers to ensure problem design supports evaluation efforts, focusing on abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Assist in establishing new evaluation benchmarks inspired by physics curricula, ranging from early undergraduate to doctoral levels.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance analytical methods and ensure adaptability in an evolving AI-centric environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Deep analytical proficiency in STEM disciplines, with expertise comparable to engineering entrance exams or graduate and PhD education levels.
• Capability to simplify and clearly communicate intricate STEM topics.
