Role overview

This opportunity is for a founder and CEO to build a new B2B business from the ground up. The role begins as a part-time, equity-based position. After the company reaches the point where revenue or funding can sustain compensation, it is expected to shift into a full-time position with a market-rate founder salary. Until then, DQventures will cover the working capital needed to develop and launch the business.

What you will do

  • Lead early-stage discovery work by speaking with users, collecting market insights, and clarifying the problem to be solved.
  • Study competitors to spot unmet needs, differentiation opportunities, and better positioning.
  • Build and release the first version of the business, with support from the venture team, using a service, no-code, or technology-led approach to test demand.
  • Handle first-pass sales activities by pitching, closing, and onboarding the earliest paying customers.
  • Move quickly on feedback and performance signals to improve the offer, pricing, and overall business model.
  • Raise capital when required, with help on pitch preparation, refinement, and introductions to suitable investors.
  • Commit at least 12 hours each week, with room to increase involvement as momentum grows.
  • Participate in weekly one-on-one sessions with the venture-building team for planning, strategy, and guidance.
  • Take complete ownership of the venture’s direction, decisions, and long-term results.
