Key Responsibilities

General:

• Lead campus space planning and coordinate design efforts ensuring alignment with both academic and administrative needs.
• Maintain and manage comprehensive campus design documentation including CAD/BIM models and master plans, assuring accuracy and continuity.
• Provide departmental support in space allocation and planning decisions during campus operations and transitions.

Strategic:

• Oversee space allocation planning and governance campus-wide across academic and administrative sectors.
• Lead design review to ensure conformance with approved plans, technical standards, and regulatory compliance, acting as custodian for all campus designs.
• Evaluate and approve design change requests to optimize space use and meet operational needs aligned with campus strategy.
• Monitor architectural and engineering design activities for consistency, coordination, and technical precision.

Operational:

• Keep CAD/BIM drawings current reflecting real site conditions and manage all design documentation accurately.
• Review and authorize design updates and coordinate their implementation with maintenance, shared services, and external vendors.
• Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and project teams on ongoing construction and design projects.
• Document and track design changes ensuring proper approvals, version control, and execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• 8 to 10 years of professional experience in architecture, space planning, or design coordination.
• Experience working on large-scale developments such as universities or cultural/mixed-use projects.
• Strong proficiency with CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) alongside effective documentation management skills.
• Sound understanding of design coordination processes, space planning principles, and interface with construction activities.

Management and Interpersonal Skills

• Experience leading design consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Capability to oversee design standards, processes, and change control frameworks.
• Excellent organizational skills for documentation and project support in complex environments.
• Strong communicator with capacity to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical with keen attention to detail during design reviews and validations.
• Adaptive problem solver able to manage design changes and constraints pragmatically.
