About the Role

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer who is passionate about blending manual exploratory testing with the creation and maintenance of automation frameworks to ensure the delivery of high-quality and reliable software products.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining product excellence by architecting effective test approaches, implementing automation solutions, and detecting defects before the end-users encounter them. The role includes working on both web applications and other software projects in collaboration with globally distributed development teams.

You'll have the chance to engage with contemporary testing methodologies including API validation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) workflows, and enhancement of quality processes throughout the software development lifecycle. A key focus will also be on validating AI-based features and adapting quality assurance techniques to fit innovative technological approaches.

Responsibilities

• Execute various testing approaches including manual, exploratory, functional, and regression testing to uncover issues missed by automated tests.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for web applications, APIs, and software products.
• Create, maintain, and refine automated test scripts using popular frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Develop automation scripts primarily using Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Conduct API testing through tools like Postman and by writing code-driven tests.
• Integrate automated testing processes within CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineering teams using Git workflows.
• Document test cases, defects, processes, and quality standards in clear and organized formats.
• Perform specialized testing of AI-enabled features and systems to ensure their robustness.
• Work closely with remote engineering teams to identify and address quality issues early in development cycles.
• Propose enhancements to QA strategies, tooling, and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both manual testing and automated testing methodologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
• Experience using automation testing frameworks including Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Capability to design and execute functional, regression, and API testing with appropriate tools and methods.
• Hands-on experience with API testing utilities such as Postman.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments, Git source control workflows, and modern agile software development practices.
• Excellent analytical skills, adept troubleshooting abilities, and meticulous documentation skills.
• An eagerness to explore and validate AI-related technology features through testing.
• Strong command of English with proven ability to work effectively in a distributed and remote team setting.
