Software Engineer

About the Role

Azonic is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute directly to the development of a cutting-edge platform that supports investigative work by connecting disparate investigative sources. This role involves collaborating closely with the founding team to build and maintain production-grade systems which have real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product features across the platform, including user interfaces and backend services.
• Create robust data pipelines capable of aggregating investigative data sources at scale.
• Take full ownership of features from problem identification through deployment and ongoing maintenance in production.
• Work with the same codebase as the founders adhering to rigorous code review standards.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should be proficient in either TypeScript or Python with demonstrable experience delivering production-level code, substantial side projects, or widely used open-source contributions. The ideal candidate prioritizes shipping reliable, working solutions promptly rather than striving for perfection which delays delivery. Clear, asynchronous communication and consistent work hours are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing agent-based or large language model (LLM) systems in a production environment.
• Background in intelligence, investigations, or trust and safety domains.
