About the Role

As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the enhancement of our Wealth Mobile Backend for Frontend (BFF) platform. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, testable RESTful APIs employing best software engineering techniques.
  • Work alongside the scrum team to plan and achieve sprint and project milestones.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI designers to meet requirements.
  • Collect and clarify specifications and technical requirements throughout the development process.
  • Produce and update technical documentation for developed software.
  • Engage in scrum ceremonies to plan deliverables, handle software deployment, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Assess risks, weigh opportunities, and communicate their impacts on project outcomes.
  • Participate in code reviews, integration, version control, and promotion across environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve production incidents promptly, ensuring service restoration and root cause analysis.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of three years' experience developing software with a focus on REST API creation.
  • Proficient in Express, Node.js, and TypeScript/JavaScript within professional settings.
  • Strong background in unit and integration testing methodologies.
  • Experience working with microservices architecture and Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace or their equivalents.
  • Hands-on experience with monorepo management, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Git branching strategies for effective version control.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling effective stakeholder engagement and decision influence.
  • Well-developed organizational, planning, and time management abilities.
  • Post-secondary education is required, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
