Role Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help animate Later’s brand across social platforms connecting with brands and content creators. This role involves strategizing content, managing publishing calendars, and creating engaging on-camera content. You will collaborate closely with the existing social media manager, reporting to the Senior Content Marketing Manager, and act as a dynamic voice representing Later across various channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Later’s content calendar on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube, aligning posts with broader marketing campaigns and ensuring consistent timing.
- Create quarterly and monthly content themes aligned with Later’s narrative and audience engagement goals.
- Spot early trends, viral formats, and cultural conversations to create platform-native content reinforcing Later’s brand personality.
- Formulate platform-specific tactics considering audience behavior, algorithms, and content types.
- Coordinate with Content, Creative, and Growth Marketing teams to integrate social strategies with campaigns, blogs, and product news.
- Produce and feature in short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, confidently embodying the Later brand on camera.
- Craft engaging copy tailored to various social formats, maintaining an approachable and confident brand voice.
- Contribute to graphic and video asset creation, ensuring brand consistency with the Creative team.
- Generate a wide variety of content from educational posts to topical trend responses and community highlights.
- Manage social communities by actively responding to interactions, nurturing genuine connections with followers.
- Engage key creators, customers, and advocates to strengthen Later’s presence in the social media management ecosystem.
- Gather feedback and insights from community interactions to refine content and product messaging.
- Analyze social performance metrics and develop actionable insights to enhance audience growth and content effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation to map social media contribution to traffic, brand awareness, and sales pipelines.
- Use Later’s platform for scheduling, analytics, and link performance, leveraging firsthand product knowledge.
- Conduct content experiments on formats, posting timing, copy, and creativity; share results with marketing teams.
- Work alongside Content, Influencer, Creator, and Customer Marketing teams to amplify existing assets, coordinate creator-led content, and showcase customer successes.
Success Milestones
- Within 60 days: understand Later’s social voice and content approach and actively contribute with minimal onboarding.
- By 90 days: deliver on-camera content driving notable engagement or organic reach.
- At 6 months: establish consistent, high-quality social presence with measurable improvements in engagement, followers, or video metrics across multiple platforms.
- Within 1 year: become a trusted creative partner within marketing, producing content that supports campaigns, launches, and brand initiatives.
- Drive measurable improvements in community engagement and audience sentiment through proactive management and cross-team collaborations.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years managing social media, preferably in-house or at a content-focused agency.
- Proven on-camera confidence and a portfolio of short-form video content personally created or featuring you.
- Deep expertise with Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, including platform algorithms and content strategies.
- Excellent copywriting skills adaptable to various platforms and formats with brand consistency.
- Experienced in managing editorial calendars, meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with social analytics to inform creative decisions.
- Collaborative approach partnering with diverse creative and marketing teams.
- Passion for the creator economy, social trends, and influencer marketing dynamics.
- Proficient with social media management tools for scheduling, insights, and community engagement.

Additional Details
We offer market-competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, benchmarked to location and performance. Our offices are located in Boston, Vancouver BC, Chicago, and Vancouver WA, with options for fully remote work for select roles.
