Site Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and meticulous Site Engineer to be part of our expanding project team. This position entails managing daily site operations, coordinating construction tasks, and ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and aligned with approved plans, specifications, and quality benchmarks. Collaboration with project managers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors will be key to delivering projects successfully from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities onsite, monitor progress, and allocate resources to meet project and contractual goals.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents; provide on-site technical support and resolve engineering challenges during project execution.
• Conduct site inspections, assess workmanship and material quality, verify completed tasks, and ensure adherence to safety, code, and company standards.
• Coordinate daily schedules, monitor subcontractor performance, and optimize efficiency while maintaining quality and productivity.
• Prepare detailed site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and technical documentation for project management and stakeholder communication.
• Manage material deliveries, equipment use, and workforce planning to reduce delays and enhance project performance.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, quantity surveyors, suppliers, and clients to resolve technical queries and implement engineering solutions.
• Participate in meetings, track construction milestones, identify risks, and recommend corrective measures to maintain timelines and quality.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations through promotion of safe practices, routine safety inspections, and support of risk management initiatives.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, defect inspections, and project handover to guarantee successful completion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Academic background: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and site management techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents accurately.
• Knowledge of construction materials, quality control processes, and inspection standards.
• Awareness of project scheduling, progress tracking, and construction planning.
• Familiarity with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software, or equivalent design and drafting tools is advantageous.
• Understanding of project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities coupled with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Competence in preparing precise technical reports and site documentation.
