About the Role

Join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor, supporting the store manager with day-to-day operations during your shifts. You'll lead the team by allocating tasks and ensuring every customer experiences our renowned service—including quality drinks, products, and a welcoming, clean store. Key Responsibilities

• Uphold integrity, honesty, and Starbucks’ culture, values, and mission in all actions.
• Stay composed during busy or unexpected periods to maintain smooth store operations and set a positive example.
• Anticipate customer and store needs through constant environmental and customer observation.
• Communicate essential information to the store manager to foster an inviting "Third Place" atmosphere during shifts.
• Support new employee training by reinforcing successful behaviors and offering constructive, respectful coaching.
• Provide feedback on team member performance to the store manager during your shift.
• Identify and report changes in team morale or performance to help maintain a positive work environment.
• Deliver clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching to enhance partner performance and operational excellence.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a customer-first approach and build connections with customers.
• Recognize and address customers' needs promptly.
• Build strong relationships with team members by understanding their motivations and concerns.
• Manage store operations effectively during your designated shifts.
• Oversee opening and closing responsibilities as assigned.
• Adhere to Starbucks' operational guidelines, including cash handling, safety, and security procedures, ensuring partner safety.
• Enforce cash register policies and ensure team compliance with cash management practices.
• Monitor baristas throughout the shift to maintain delivery of outstanding customer service.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ensure consistent quality in beverages, whole bean coffee, and food products by following recipes and presentation standards.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation rules for all products.
• Acknowledge and reward individual and team achievements by utilizing organizational tools and collaborating with management to discover innovative recognition methods.
• Leverage operational tools to achieve excellence during shifts.

Required Experience

• Experience in customer service within retail or restaurant environments.
