Role Overview
The SHES Advisor will support the Energy and Industry team based in Foynes, County Limerick, focusing on maintaining and enhancing safety, health, environmental, and quality standards according to ISO certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with upkeep of Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems ensuring adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Conduct inductions for personnel.
- Generate monthly statistical reports.
- Promote and support the Culture Development Programme, a behaviour-based safety initiative.
- Perform and record site audits and inspections.
- Stay informed on updates to safety, health, environmental regulations, and construction industry guidance.
- Verify that site personnel possess the required training documentation.
- Investigate, document, and monitor incidents and non-conformances, ensuring all necessary reports are completed.
- Identify significant safety risks and assist in establishing appropriate control measures.
- Maintain all safety and environmental records for easy accessibility.
- Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and monthly safety meetings.
- Review documentation submitted by subcontractors.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Higher Diploma in Health & Safety.
- Brings at least three years of relevant experience, preferably within civils and renewable energy construction projects.
- Experience with solar farm construction is a plus.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills and can effectively collaborate with multiple teams.
- Proficient in IT with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibits a flexible, proactive attitude.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities.
