Senior Storekeeper - Construction Projects

Role Overview

The Senior Storekeeper will oversee all site warehouse activities, ensuring the smooth management of materials, tools, and equipment to support construction projects efficiently.

Primary Duties

• Supervise daily store operations and manage inventory control at the project site.
• Accept deliveries, inspect, and verify materials against purchase documents and delivery notes.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of material entries, issues, and current stock levels.
• Ensure materials are properly stored, handled, and preserved to meet safety and quality standards.
• Distribute materials to site teams based on authorized requisitions.
• Monitor stock amounts and coordinate timely replenishments.
• Prepare and update inventory reports and perform regular stock audits.
• Keep track of tools, equipment, and consumables to prevent shortages or losses.
• Collaborate effectively with Procurement, Project Teams, and Suppliers for seamless supply chain operations.
• Generate material usage and stock status reports for project management review.
• Assist in audit processes and maintain compliant documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred.
• Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Storekeeper within construction projects.
• Prior experience working in UAE or GCC regions is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience managing site stores on large-scale building projects.

Technical Proficiencies

• Expertise in inventory and material control management.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and construction material handling.
• Proficient in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Strong skills using MS Excel and generating reports.
• Capability in documentation control and stock auditing processes.
• Familiarity with material receiving and issuing procedures.
