Senior Software Project Manager

Objective

This role involves the comprehensive planning and management of software projects, through all stages from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring project goals are met effectively.

Role Description and Responsibilities

• Establish clear project objectives, timelines, and key milestones to guide progress.
• Identify essential project requirements and limitations, while proactively managing associated risks.
• Regularly track project advancement and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Tackle challenges impacting project execution and implement solutions promptly.
• Effectively allocate and manage resources required to fulfill project assignments.
• Keep detailed records of milestones, deliverables, and any change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects remain on target and adhere strictly to scheduled deadlines.
• Coordinate and oversee Agile ceremonies such as Scrum meetings, when applicable.
• Manage recurring project activities including testing phases, issue evaluations, and troubleshooting efforts.
• Act as a communication bridge to inform stakeholders about changes and significant project achievements.
• Conduct periodic evaluations of completed projects to identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a closely related discipline.
• Hold a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Bring 5 to 7 years of experience specifically within the software industry.
• Demonstrate proficiency in project management methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall.
• Be familiar with project reporting tools including Microsoft Project Plan and JIRA.
• Understand software development lifecycle processes thoroughly.
• Exhibit solid expertise in Agile development frameworks.
