Senior Software Engineer, Front End

Role Overview

We seek a motivated Senior Software Engineer specializing in frontend development to join a leading automotive company's new office in Dublin. You will work on innovative product initiatives targeting markets in Canada and the UK, significantly shaping the office culture. This position prioritizes frontend ownership for dealer-facing products while also involving full-stack feature contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain engaging, scalable frontend interfaces for international dealer products with React and TypeScript.
• Collaborate actively with product managers, designers, and engineers across teams to deliver robust software for Canadian and UK markets.
• Engage in architectural and technical design conversations.
• Drive frontend service development from idea inception, deployment, through ongoing production support.
• Uphold best practices ensuring security, performance, maintainability, and high availability.
• Diagnose and fix intricate production issues using observability tools to monitor system health.
• Mentor junior developers, lead code reviews, and help establish processes and engineering standards at the Dublin office.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum five years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong background creating dynamic, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Experience with server-side TypeScript frameworks such as Remix, Next.js, or Express.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaborative skills suited for fast-paced, iterative environments.
• Knowledgeable in designing RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, automated testing, monitoring, and managing production services.
• Motivated to take ownership of projects and enhance personal technical expertise.
• Preferred skills include cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
