Role Overview

GNS is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Engineer to oversee water-related projects commissioned by the National Water Company (NWC). This role involves end-to-end project management, including project planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, progress monitoring, reporting, and collaboration with all involved stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in project management, specialized skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, and a strong background in handling similar water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire lifecycle of water projects from start to finish.
• Create, update, and track project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, and overall project advancement.
• Compile and deliver weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Assess project performance and advise necessary corrective measures.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure project work aligns with approved timelines and objectives.
• Participate in project meetings to provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Support planning, allocation of resources, and project controlling tasks.
• Identify potential risks and delays, assisting in developing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports throughout the project duration.
• Supervise contractor performance and monitor project deliverables closely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• 7 to 10 years of demonstrated experience managing water infrastructure projects.
• Documented experience working on projects under the National Water Company (NWC).
• Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, milestone oversight, progress assessment, and reporting.
• Advanced skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
• Experience managing relationships with contractors, consultants, and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong communication, organizational, and coordination capabilities.
