Description de l'emploi

About the Role

This position invites individuals with personal experience of mental health services to contribute meaningfully by supporting others and their families undergoing similar treatments. Senior Peer Facilitators play a vital role in encouraging hope, belief in recovery, and empowering service users to pursue their personal goals and aspirations through shared experiences.

The role is designed specifically for those with a background of overcoming mental health difficulties and who have interacted with inpatient or secondary community mental health services. It involves advancing peer support by recruiting, training, and mentoring additional Peer Facilitators within the Early Intervention Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize lived experience to offer meaningful peer support and encouragement.
  • Contribute to the development and mentorship of other Peer Facilitators, fostering a supportive peer network.
  • Advocate and promote recovery-focused principles and person-centered care throughout the Trust.
  • Lead efforts to enhance understanding and integration of peer roles in service delivery across the locality.

Eligibility and Inclusion

The Trust places strong emphasis on diversity and inclusivity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, including underrepresented groups. Applicants with relevant lived experience bring valuable authenticity and are especially encouraged to apply.

Work Environment and Flexibility

Flexible working arrangements are supported, including options such as term time, part-time, compressed hours, and flexi-time, to foster a positive work-life balance. Comprehensive wellbeing resources and support are offered to assist employees in maintaining health and wellbeing both professionally and personally.

Additional Information
