Senior Part Time Accountant

About the Role

Join Silkwaves Designs Private Limited as a Senior Accountant on a part-time basis, working primarily from the Delhi office. This position suits candidates with over four years of accounting experience, ideally within e-commerce or retail sectors. The role involves significant responsibility in managing comprehensive accounting functions for a dynamic D2C fashion brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle accounting activities including GST returns, TDS management, and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Prepare, review, and finalize financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Manage reconciliation of financial transactions related to e-commerce payouts, vendor settlements, and individual orders.
• Assist founders with cash flow monitoring and budgeting processes.
• Oversee and assess the work performed by junior accounting and operations personnel.
• Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants and auditors to ensure timely audits, filings, and compliance adherence.
• Generate financial reports and provide analytical insights to help inform business strategies.
• Ensure accurate and timely tracking of payments and vendor reconciliations across multiple platforms, including Shopify and other online marketplaces.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, or be CA-Inter qualified; full CA qualification is advantageous.
• Extensive hands-on expertise with GST, TDS, accounting software such as Tally or Zoho Books, and proficiency in Excel.
• Previous work experience in startups, direct-to-consumer brands, or e-commerce businesses is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
