Role Overview
The Senior Manager, Partner Onboarding leads complex client onboarding processes on Bolt’s SaaS platform, managing the full cycle of onboarding insurance carriers and agencies. This role requires orchestrating program strategy and execution, aligning stakeholders, ensuring timeline adherence, and delivering measurable outcomes. It calls for a strong program management framework, technical understanding, insurance industry knowledge, and an entrepreneurial spirit comfortable with ambiguity and focused on building scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end onboarding for multiple clients via concurrent implementation programs.
- Develop and manage program strategies including sequencing, dependencies, phased delivery, and critical path definitions.
- Translate business goals into structured delivery roadmaps with clear milestones and tangible value metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define scope and success criteria.
- Maintain a centralized, version-controlled project plan shared regularly with clients.
- Act as the primary liaison for client onboarding, building strong relationships from project leads to executives.
- Set communication rhythms and manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment before external communication.
- Clarify responsibility (RACI) across Go-To-Market, Product, Engineering, and Partner Success teams to resolve ambiguities swiftly.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and with high satisfaction.
- Identify, document, and escalate risks and blockers with detailed impact assessments and actionable recommendations.
- Maintain transparent status updates for internal and client leadership with no surprises.
- Drive continuous improvements in onboarding frameworks, playbooks, and key performance indicators.
- Leverage onboarding tools to optimize client experience, accelerate value delivery, and standardize program execution.

Qualifications & Experience
- 6 to 8 years in program or project management, preferably within SaaS, consulting, or insurtech sectors.
- Substantial understanding of property and casualty insurance.
- Proven leadership of cross-functional, client-facing implementation programs from initiation through delivery.
- Ability to formulate program strategy beyond plan execution.
- Experienced in managing multiple projects with definable milestones and scopes.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining client-facing project plans that ensure mutual accountability.
- Competent in aligning diverse stakeholders and managing expectations at various organizational levels.
- Familiarity with methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, and hybrid delivery models.
- Experience converting onboarding achievements into sustained client growth and platform adoption.
- Professional demeanor with strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Comfortable and effective in high-growth, startup or scale-up company environments.
Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship management, including producing executive-level reports.
- Strong analytical, risk assessment, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management and onboarding tools like Monday.com, Jira, or Azure DevOps.
- Effectiveness leading within distributed, remote-first teams.
- High integrity and emotional intelligence under pressure.
Bonus Expertise
- Knowledge of operational models in property and casualty carriers, managing general agents (MGAs), or agencies.
- Understanding of embedded insurance, digital distribution channels, or insurtech platforms.
- Familiarity with insurance APIs and policy administration systems.
- Experience using customer onboarding platforms like Rocketlane or AI-driven delivery tools.
Location & Travel
- This is a remote position based in the United States, preferably within Eastern or Central time zones.
- Up to 20–25% travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support client onboarding milestones and meetings.
