Role Overview

This senior position centers on leveraging data to generate valuable insights about Members, directly impacting business performance and strategy. The role involves developing reliable analytical products that enhance understanding of Member segments, retention, growth, engagement, and campaign effectiveness. The position is permanent and located onsite at MAS’s Auckland or Wellington offices.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Member insight tools focused on segmentation, retention, growth, and engagement data analytics.
• Design advanced analytical methods, metrics, and visualizations to simplify complex data into actionable insights.
• Provide data-driven recommendations influencing business strategy, prioritization, and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to uncover opportunities for data to improve Member experiences and business results.
• Translate complex analytical outcomes into clear, persuasive narratives to facilitate actionable steps.
• Support quality, standards, and skill development within the analytics team.
• Ensure governance, quality assurance, and compliance across all analytical outputs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in analytics, insights, business intelligence, or customer analytics sectors.
• Proficient with advanced SQL and handling intricate datasets.
• Strong expertise in Power BI and familiarity with modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Skilled at building analytic products, dashboards, segmentation models, or decision-support instruments.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling abilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Adept at navigating uncertainty and converting business challenges into analytical solutions.
