Role Overview
A reputable and expanding Irish company based in South Dublin is searching for a skilled Senior Finance Manager / Financial Controller to strengthen its finance department. This pivotal leadership role encompasses comprehensive responsibilities including financial control, reporting, treasury, regulatory compliance, and team leadership within a diverse, multi-entity organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate directly with the CFO to guide the strategic vision for the finance department.
- Compile and evaluate monthly management accounts along with financial reports.
- Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring effective and reliable financial controls.
- Manage statutory filings, tax obligations, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Direct treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting and managing banking relationships.
- Assist with annual external auditing processes and uphold strong corporate governance.
- Lead, mentor, and cultivate a finance team fostering a culture of teamwork and responsibility.
- Promote continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and advanced financial reporting techniques.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal departments and external consultants.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or a recognized equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in a senior finance leadership capacity or as a Financial Controller.
- Expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven track record in leading finance teams and fostering professional development.
- Strong commercial insight paired with outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communicator with senior-level stakeholders across various business units.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP or finance management systems.
