Role Summary
This position involves sole responsibility for designing marketing materials for a leading global beverage brand's New Zealand market presence. The scope includes retail-focused work such as catalogues, print and digital advertisements, packaging design and updates, as well as pharmacy catalogues and detail aids. The role reports directly to the Head of Design.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with project managers and client teams to comprehend requirements and visually enhance brand presence.
- Exhibit strong design sensibilities across typography, layout, pre-press, and digital advertising, ensuring all deliverables add value beyond expectations.
- Adhere to studio protocols and guidelines comprehensively.
- Maintain brand consistency and integrate design standards across all projects.
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of client brands and style guides.
- Create diverse graphic, print, and digital media collateral.
- Exemplify robust self-management and thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Promptly incorporate design feedback aligned with client needs.
- Provide guidance and oversight to fellow designers in the team.
- Demonstrate excellent technical abilities in finished art production for advertisements and packaging, including preparing digital files for publication and basic retouching.
Experience and Qualifications
- At least 10 years of professional experience creating and producing marketing collateral.
- Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
- Thorough understanding of print and digital design workflows and output requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Patient communicator with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
- Strong time management skills to handle fast turnover and shifting priorities efficiently.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of asking insightful questions to fully understand client expectations.
- Competent in problem identification and decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and lead design reviews and mentorship.
