We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with extensive expertise in data analytics, operational research methodologies, and pricing analytics specifically within supply chain management. The role entails strong coding skills and the application of data science innovations to deliver tailored business solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Revise and optimize existing Python-based optimization algorithms using object-oriented programming to enhance performance and maintainability.
- Apply cutting-edge data science techniques to tackle supply chain and optimization challenges within the Retail and CPG verticals.
- Employ advanced statistical analyses and data science algorithms on large data sets to uncover actionable insights related to pricing optimization.
- Design, develop, and implement predictive models and optimization algorithms aimed at refining pricing strategies.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to interpret business requirements and translate them into effective, data-driven solutions.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and incorporate best practices related to data science, inventory replenishment optimization, and supply chain management to stimulate innovation.
- Mentor and collaborate with a team of experienced data scientists, encouraging knowledge sharing and mutual learning.
Candidate Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Data Scientist focusing on supply chain optimization and inventory allocation.
- Educational qualifications including a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline.
- Proficiency using mathematical programming solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress MP, CPLEX, or Google OR Tools in practical applications.
- Strong foundation in statistical techniques, optimization methods, and predictive modeling concepts.
- Expertise in programming languages including Python, Pyspark, and SQL, alongside experience with relevant data analysis and machine learning libraries.
- Capability to apply diverse analytical models to solve complex business use cases effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with business stakeholders, interpret needs, and clearly explain technical solutions.
