Senior Consultant – Data Governance

Role overview

This full-time consulting position is based in the UAE and focuses on strengthening how data is governed, maintained, and monitored across the organisation. The role suits someone with practical experience in data governance who can support policy rollout, improve stewardship practices, and help drive compliance and data quality efforts.

What you will be doing

• Assist in launching and embedding data governance policies, frameworks, and standards into day-to-day operations.
• Work with different business teams to clarify who owns data and who is responsible for its stewardship.
• Track data quality indicators and help prepare KPI-based reporting.
• Support metadata management and the organisation of data catalogues.
• Partner with IT and compliance functions to make sure governance practices match internal rules and external regulatory requirements.
• Encourage better data understanding and awareness across business stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• 4 to 6 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a closely related area.
• Hands-on exposure to governance platforms such as Collibra, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview.
• Working knowledge of privacy and compliance frameworks including GDPR and ISO 27001.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
• A structured, proactive, and detail-focused approach to resolving data-related issues.
• Certifications such as CDMP or ISO 27001 awareness certification will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and contract

The package includes a monthly salary of 40,000 AED, with visa and relocation costs covered within the offer. The engagement is structured as a 3-year renewable contract and includes an option to extend for an additional 2 years.
