Position Overview

As a Security Officer stationed on-site in Christchurch, your core duties will revolve around safeguarding properties and individuals, executing routine security patrols, verifying adherence to access control protocols, and managing potential security threats or incidents. You will also support crowd management during events and coordinate closely with both management and clients to maintain a secure and orderly environment. The role demands strong professional communication and the ability to make swift, sound decisions under pressure.

Key Qualifications

• Expertise in physical security methods, property oversight, and threat evaluation
• Understanding of access control mechanisms, crowd control techniques, and emergency response processes
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with teammates, supervisors, and clients
• Experience in preparing detailed security reports and maintaining meticulous logs is preferred
• Capability to remain composed and make rapid decisions during high-stress events
• Prior security industry experience or related background is beneficial
• Valid security license and pertinent certifications required
• Availability to work flexible shifts such as nights, weekends, and holidays
