About Rapyuta Robotics
Rapyuta Robotics, a spinoff from ETH Zurich, aims to democratize robotics accessibility within the logistics sector. Our culture thrives on collaboration, pushing boundaries, and making impactful contributions through innovation in robotics and automation.
Role Overview
As a Sales and Solutions Engineer, you will manage the entire sales process—from initial client engagement through data-driven solution development, proposal formulation, and closing. You'll collaborate directly with customers and in partnership with channel and integration collaborators. Your role involves detailed analysis of client operations to model automation solutions and deliver measurable value. This position offers a foundational role within our U.S. commercial expansion, focusing on scaling Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and Pick-Assist Autonomous Mobile Robots (PA-AMR) in distribution and fulfillment settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead assigned accounts through all sales phases including prospecting, discovery, solution formulation, proposal creation, and deal closure, while maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecast.
- Conduct thorough discovery into customer operational metrics such as order profiles, SKU details, throughput needs, and workflows; design solution models using Excel incorporating storage sizing, throughput, labor analysis, and ROI calculations.
- Engage customers through meetings, demonstrations, and on-site visits; collaborate with engineering and product teams to scope and validate solutions; and foster strong relationships with channel and integration partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Operations, or related disciplines.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, including data modeling and analytical storytelling.
- Strong analytical approach to process and system evaluation, capable of identifying workflow enhancements.
- Customer-focused problem solver with a natural instinct for crafting tailored solutions rather than generic product pitches.
- Confident and articulate communicator able to engage effectively with customers in various formats.
- Highly self-motivated, comfortable with taking ownership and navigating ambiguity.
- Willing to relocate to the Greater Chicago area and available for travel associated with client meetings and site assessments.
- Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided for this position.
Preferred Experience
- Background or exposure to warehousing, distribution, fulfillment centers, or material handling industries.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools beyond Excel, such as SQL, Python, or Tableau.
- Previous sales roles, customer-facing positions, or relevant internships.
Benefits
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and skills.
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
- 401(k) starter plan for retirement savings.
- Assistance available for relocation if applicable.
- Opportunity to contribute at the forefront of robotics and AI innovation impacting logistics globally.
- Room for growth and increased responsibility as the U.S. business expands.
