Safety Head – Data Center Project

Role Overview

This position leads health, safety, and environment (HSE) management for a data center construction project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for setting up and maintaining the safety framework across the full project lifecycle, from early mobilization through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, roll out, and continuously manage the HSE system for all construction work related to the data center.
• Identify hazards, assess project risks, and make sure permit-to-work controls and safe work methods are followed rigorously.
• Carry out regular site safety checks, arrange safety training, and support emergency response readiness.
• Review incidents, determine root causes, and put corrective as well as preventive measures in place.
• Work in close coordination with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to strengthen a strong safety-first culture.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering plus a recognized HSE certification or qualification is required.
• Applicants should bring 20 to 25 years of progressive HSE experience, with substantial exposure to data center, industrial, or other mission-critical construction environments.
• Must have direct project execution experience and be able to manage safety across the complete project lifecycle, including mobilization, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations, statutory compliance, and industry-standard best practices is essential.
• Should be capable of guiding, supporting, and developing safety teams in a demanding project setting.
