Job Summary

The Residential Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and directing all site construction-related operations across diverse disciplines. This includes ensuring adherence to technical, contractual, quality, and safety standards. The role demands leadership of the site construction team, effective client and stakeholder communications, and coordination with subcontractors and headquarters, ensuring successful project completion. The manager will also oversee contract administration, project financials, resources, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise multidisciplinary site construction teams to ensure efficient project execution.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections, evaluate contractors' performance, and facilitate weekly progress meetings to address challenges.
• Coordinate seamlessly between site teams and head office to meet project objectives.
• Act as the principal liaison with clients for all site-related matters, ensuring transparent communication and swift resolution of issues.
• Engage in client meetings to provide timely updates and align project deliverables with contractual requirements and milestones.
• Analyze and ensure compliance with contract conditions governing construction activities.
• Manage billing processes including preparation, certification, submission, and follow-up on payments.
• Oversee reconciliation activities including contractor bills, client invoices, and contract closure tasks.
• Handle material reconciliation, identify surplus inventory, and coordinate redistribution with headquarters.
• Enforce strict compliance with safety protocols, company HSE policies, and client safety standards.
• Manage HR and statutory compliance as per client and legal mandates.
• Promote labor welfare and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
• Conduct regular meetings with contractors and safety teams to reinforce compliance and safety practices.
• Supervise all construction phases including pre-commissioning and commissioning processes.
• Oversee maintenance and accountability of site assets, ensuring scheduled inspections.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively across construction disciplines to achieve project goals.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related fields.
• Extensive site construction management experience spanning multiple engineering disciplines.
• In-depth knowledge of BOQ preparation, verification, and contract management.
• Proficiency in HR statutory compliance and labor welfare practices.
• Strong awareness of construction safety standards and regulation adherence.
• Demonstrated leadership, team management, and effective stakeholder coordination skills.
• Solid financial skills related to billing, reconciliation, and payment processes.
• Proactive in planning construction activities and supporting team members on-site.
• At least 20 years of experience in managing large-scale, multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Preferred certifications in project management, construction safety, contract management, or related areas.
