About the Role and Program
This opportunity is part of NetApp's distinguished S3 Academy—an early-career development initiative designed for top university graduates focusing on Sales, Support, and Services. The program includes an immersive 90-day training period in the United States combining practical and theoretical learning to prepare candidates for a fruitful career at NetApp. After completing the training, you will return to your home location to apply the knowledge gained.
We are currently looking for a passionate and client-oriented Renewal Sales Specialist who will manage the support service contract renewal process for existing customers, enhancing customer retention, satisfaction, and upselling potential.
This position operates from NetApp's Cork office with hybrid work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of support service contract renewals ensuring timely and precise completion.
- Collaborate closely with quoting specialists to guarantee the accuracy and quality of renewal proposals.
- Strive to improve on-time renewal rates and in-quarter renewal rates, while overseeing discount policies effectively.
- Engage proactively with partners and clients to understand their needs, resolve issues, and highlight the value of NetApp’s services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on support offerings, policies, and compliance for partners and internal teams.
- Build and sustain collaborative relationships with sales, pre-sales, customer success, and account management teams to provide a smooth renewal journey.
- Coordinate regular planning sessions with NetApp account stakeholders to anticipate customer renewal intentions.
- Respond promptly to inquiries or escalations from customers and partners, applying strong problem-solving capabilities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Between 2 to 4 years of experience in customer-facing or customer service roles, preferably within a sales environment.
- Must be fluent in English; proficiency in an additional European language such as German, French, Dutch, Spanish, or Italian is advantageous.
- Experience using CRM systems like Salesforce and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Enthusiastic about adopting new technologies, committed to continuous learning, curious, and willing to propose ideas for simplification and innovation.
- High attention to detail complemented by strong organizational abilities.
- Demonstrates a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
