About the Role

The Bank Hospital in Accra, Ghana, seeks a dedicated Renal Technician to join its team. This role involves assembling and maintaining dialysis machines while ensuring patient safety and cleanliness standards during dialysis treatments. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble dialysis machines, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Monitor patients throughout their dialysis sessions carefully.
• Ensure safe operation and security of dialysis equipment.
• Administer local anesthesia as required for procedures.
• Explain the dialysis process clearly to patients to ease their experience.
• Adjust fluid removal rates for patients in response to clinical needs.
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and doctors for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all operating equipment.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Attend to patient needs with empathy and professionalism.
• Recognize and address patients’ emotional and physical concerns to ensure comfort and confidence.
• Educate patients on maintaining health post-treatment.
• Develop and provide operational training materials for staff to improve service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a diploma or degree in dialysis or nephrology technology.
• Registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Relevant clinical experience in dialysis treatment.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
• Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
