Overview
As a Regional Sales Manager, your primary focus will be to drive sales and execute strategic programs within designated Regions, Divisions, or Banners of a national retail chain. You'll manage key account volume goals, oversee budgetary spending, and ensure compliance with distribution, pricing, promotional activities, and quality points of distribution throughout your assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop regions, divisions, or banners within national accounts, ensuring adherence to Red Bull standards and national headquarters directives.
- Implement distribution strategies for priority products based on Headquarter Sales Group advice, maintaining proper shelf placement and package mixes.
- Promote and sell Red Bull's Optimum Price program by tailoring presentations to meet customer needs and aligning prices with national standards.
- Create and manage annual promotional schedules aligned with chain headquarters objectives, ensuring all promotions include point-of-sale materials and incremental displays.
- Customize sales pitches to meet Quality Points of Distribution goals, evaluate return on investment before recommending displays or solutions, and implement displays per channel guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong local relationships through effective communication with regional chain decision-makers and Distributor Partners, fostering consistency across regions.
- Ensure compliance with Customer Marketing Agreements and manage travel and entertainment expenses within designated budgets.
- Collaborate with account heads and category management teams to analyze return on investment for programs, promotions, and pay-for-space arrangements, providing detailed post-promotion evaluations.
- Secure access to retailer scan data and basket analysis to inform future strategies and understand consumer purchasing patterns.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews to update partners on business performance, competitive landscape, and new opportunities, delivering insights that influence promotional activities, pricing, and displays.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum six years of sales and key account management experience in beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or direct store delivery (DSD) operations.
- Proven experience managing chain accounts across multiple channels such as grocery and convenience stores.
- Proficiency using internal and external data sources, including IRI or similar platforms.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
The position offers a base salary range of $92,000 to $138,000 annually, plus cash incentives. Actual compensation depends on experience and may be subject to change.
