Position Overview
We are hiring a Recruitment Specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya, working full-time on site with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM EAT. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and fostering enduring relationships with qualified candidates to satisfy current and future hiring demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain vigorous talent pipelines tailored for recurring, specialized, and high-demand positions.
- Continuously cultivate pools of both active and passive candidates to adequately address ongoing and upcoming recruitment needs.
- Assess and monitor the health of talent pipelines, promptly addressing any gaps with targeted sourcing efforts.
- Utilize multiple sourcing channels including LinkedIn, job portals, referrals, social media, and Boolean search to locate candidates.
- Design and execute outreach campaigns aimed at engaging passive candidates and generating strong candidate interest.
- Adopt innovative sourcing approaches to enhance candidate quality and increase diversity within talent pools.
- Conduct preliminary candidate screenings to assess qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
- Provide recruiters with detailed candidate summaries, market insights, and recommendations on sourcing strategies.
- Maintain a professional and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to align on hiring priorities, candidate profiles, and market trends.
- Share labor market data and suggest sourcing tactics based on talent availability.
- Support workforce planning efforts by keeping talent pools prepared and accessible.
- Keep candidate information up to date within ATS and sourcing databases.
- Track and report on sourcing activities, pipeline effectiveness, and recruitment metrics consistently.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of two years’ experience in recruitment sourcing, talent acquisition, or related fields.
- Proficiency with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Boolean search techniques, and other sourcing tools.
- Strong skills in candidate research, outreach to passive candidates, and talent mapping.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
Success Indicators
- Consistent delivery of qualified candidate pipelines that meet recruitment needs, reducing time-to-source.
- Improved engagement and response rates from candidates; elevated recruiter satisfaction with candidate quality.
- Accurate, well-maintained ATS data and consistent visibility into sourcing metrics and pipeline health.
