Role Overview

The Recreation Supervisor is tasked with managing daily recreation services, ensuring superior guest service, and leading the recreation team. This position demands adaptability, leadership, and readiness to spend prolonged periods outdoors while maintaining enthusiasm and guest-centric focus.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of gym, pool, beach, and recreational facilities ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Lead and develop the recreation team by providing training and motivation to uphold excellent guest service standards.
• Coordinate and encourage wellness programs, recreational activities, and special events for guests.
• Address guest inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.
• Maintain comprehensive records on attendance, equipment inventory, and any incidents.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
• Support the Assistant Recreation Manager in meeting departmental objectives, budgets, and operational plans.
• Manage the department during the Assistant Manager's absence.
• Monitor team performance, implement service enhancements, and ensure policy adherence.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Between one and two years in a supervisory role within recreation, leisure, hospitality, or resort environments.
• Strong leadership, organizational capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
• Proven management skills to deliver superior service.
• Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Holding a UAE Lifeguard license for pool and beach areas along with first aid certification is advantageous.
• Experience or background in gym or fitness instruction is a plus.
• Capacity to work in outdoor settings across different weather conditions.
• Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
