Role Overview: Finance - Receiving Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Supervisor to join our team to oversee incoming goods' control, lead a receiving team, maintain quality standards, and manage administrative duties in compliance with food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify all incoming shipments to confirm accuracy in quantities and quality.
- Cross-check deliveries against Purchase Orders, Market Lists, or Requisitions.
- Ensure all invoices and delivery orders are duly time-stamped and properly documented.
- Initiate credit note requests for any items rejected during receiving.
- Strictly adhere to food safety protocols to prevent biological, chemical, or physical hazards.
- Supervise and inspire the Receiving team through active leadership and hands-on management.
- Establish clear performance standards and consistently monitor team execution.
- Provide feedback, coaching, and on-the-job training for new team members to maintain high-quality output.
- Manage attendance records, absences, and the accuracy of shift rosters.
- Effectively communicate operational updates, priorities, and performance highlights to relevant stakeholders.
- Optimize the receipt process and rotation of goods to prevent spoilage.
- Maintain superior standards of accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in service delivery.
- Compile daily receiving reports and organize Purchase Orders and Market Lists systematically.
- Submit reports on outstanding purchase orders for overdue items.
- Prepare after-hours receiving reports with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ensure complete compliance with SFSMS and HACCP food safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Receiving Officer role or similar capacity.
- Educational background includes GCE "N" or "O" Levels, Nitec in Logistics Services, or a Diploma in Logistics or related fields.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and communicate with all organizational levels.
- Highly organized, proactive, detail-focused, and reliable.
- Maintains a high degree of integrity and professionalism in all tasks.
