Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor will be actively involved in gathering bidding-related information and managing various quantity surveying tasks essential for contract management and project bidding processes. The role entails meticulous preparation and verification of payment claims to subcontractors, detailed tracking of contract variations, and ensuring compliance with tender documents and project specifications.

• Collect detailed bidding information as required for project tenders.
• Prepare comprehensive payment claims and validate payments to subcontractors.
• Ensure all contract variations are accurately recorded and monitor variation orders (VOs).
• Calculate bidding quantities and provide guidance to team members on bid-related tasks.
• Develop and finalize tender bills of quantities with accuracy.
• Manage subcontractor offers and coordinate subcontract price negotiations.
• Organize and verify bidding quantity calculations conducted by others.
• Compile and maintain a current, comprehensive unit price table for subcontract pricing.
• Complete bidding quotation lists and submit them for managerial review.
• Archive tender offer documentation systematically for reference and audit purposes.
• Perform quantities take-off exercises thoroughly.
• Prepare and verify subcontract payment certificates along with reviewing subcontractors' variation orders.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• At least two years of practical experience working within a main contractor environment.
• Demonstrated ability to source and obtain quotations from subcontractors.
• Capable of supporting senior personnel in substantiating variation order claims.
• Proficiency in using Glodon software for quantity surveying activities.
