Job description
Position Overview
The Quantity Cost Analyst plays a vital role in monitoring and managing cost tracking for outage operations at AFS. The role involves developing, maintaining, and updating cost tracking models, enabling real-time cost reporting to stakeholders to support budget control efforts.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop cost tracking models using historical data, Purchase Orders, and contract terms.
- Continuously maintain and archive cost tracking frameworks for future reference and model development.
- Administer and update SAP Project System to support cost tracking activities.
- Collaborate with Operations and Back Office teams to monitor actual expenditure against budgets for all outages, ensuring comprehensive cost accounting.
- Review and reconcile timesheets for accuracy.
- Support the Associate Manager – Costing with extraction and validation of Purchase Orders for variance analyses between planned and actual costs; forecast Purchase Orders for cost overruns and suggest mitigations or amendments.
- Assist in preparing Cost Tracking Model reports for integration into Finance’s Profit & Loss reporting.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports and conduct post-season evaluations to identify lessons learned.
- Organize and maintain archival records and consolidated reports.

- Adhere to health, safety, security, and environmental guidelines to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a relevant Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years’ experience in a cost-related role.
- Experience with maintenance outages in the oil and gas sector is advantageous.
- Proficient in Excel and adept at using SAP systems.
