Description de l'emploi
Overview
Join a modernizing initiative to redefine CMBS transaction processes by collaborating across Banking, Trading, Underwriting, and Technology teams. The goal is to optimize workflows, enhance data accuracy, and implement AI-driven tools to speed up origination, execution, and asset oversight.
Role Summary
The Analyst position on the Quantitative Trading & Research team integrates quantitative strategy within the CMBS business. The role involves implementing AI engineering, analytics, and automation across the entire deal lifecycle—from origination and execution to portfolio oversight and reporting. You will engage closely with senior investment experts and gain broad familiarity with commercial real estate finance and structured credit markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an in-depth understanding of CMBS and commercial real estate deal procedures to identify and implement impactful automation.
- Create and deploy machine learning and large language model solutions that decrease process time, reduce errors, and improve analytical clarity.
- Construct document intelligence systems that extract and summarize structured information from legal, underwriting, and credit approval documentation.
- Develop controlled draft workflows for front-office materials including investment summaries, credit memoranda, and investment committee documents, incorporating human-in-the-loop review processes.
- Build Python-based tools and data pipelines for market monitoring, deal sourcing, scenario analysis, and reporting on portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with Technology and business teams to integrate solutions into systems supporting origination, distribution, risk management, asset management, and external data platforms.
Required Qualifications and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, or Real Estate.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in quantitative strategy or a related area involving quantitative finance, data engineering, or applying ML/LLMs in production workflows.
- Proficient in Python with demonstrated ability to develop dependable tools and pipelines operating on centralized data platforms.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets; knowledge of vector databases, model fine-tuning, evaluation frameworks, and integration patterns like RAG/MCP for language models.
- Capable of analyzing complex workflows to uncover root causes and deliver scalable solutions independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective explanation of technical topics to credit and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong aptitude for cross-functional collaboration spanning Banking, Trading, Underwriting, and Technology teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience embedding AI and analytics into front-office workflows within AWS and enterprise environments, with fast-prototyping abilities in deal-centric settings.
- Understanding of CMBS and commercial real estate origination, underwriting, securitization, surveillance, or structured credit modeling.
- Knowledge related to CMBS valuation analytics, financing arrangements, collateral tracking, and mark-to-market methodologies.
