Job description

About the Role

Vestas, a global frontrunner in wind energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Hodenhagen. As part of the Service Supply Chain and Repair department, you will collaborate with third-party warehouse operators to uphold exceptional quality standards for both inbound and outbound processes. Your work will directly support the operations and safety of Vestas’ supply chain, servicing sites and ensuring that the highest levels of quality and compliance are maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials and outgoing products to verify adherence to technical requirements and quality benchmarks.
  • Identify and document materials or products that fail to meet specifications, ensuring non-conforming items are addressed swiftly to avoid operational disruptions.
  • Assess product measurements and technical compliance using established criteria and specifications.
  • Thoroughly document results of inspections, all non-conformities, and any corrective actions within official inspection reports and Vestas’ Non-Conformity Registration system.
  • Engage in close collaboration with warehouse teams, fostering a culture of quality and promoting ongoing enhancements across all supply chain activities.
  • Participate in problem analysis for quality deviations, help determine root causes, and contribute to fast resolution of issues.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities for quality advancements, contributing to operational excellence across the warehouse.

Candidate Profile

  • Completion of vocational training in a technical discipline, with a minimum of 2 years experience in an industrial or technical sector, ideally within a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and applying technical knowledge to inspect materials and assemblies.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance protocols and industrial inspection processes.
  • Comfortable using MS Office; prior use of SAP Warehouse Management or experience in the wind energy industry is an advantage.
  • Methodical and organized work habits, with effective prioritization capabilities.
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, helpful when collaborating or addressing issues with other teams.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and a practical approach to supporting colleagues.
  • Strong command of both spoken and written German and English.

Compensation & Benefits

  • A comprehensive onboarding process and a permanent position with promising long-term prospects.
  • Varied responsibilities within a modern, forward-thinking sector, with chances for personal and professional growth.
  • Flexible work arrangements: overtime account, option for remote work up to 8 days monthly, 30 vacation days plus additional holidays, and possible sabbatical opportunities.
  • Employee benefits such as business bike access, fitness subsidies, and company pension plans.
  • A workplace culture inspired by Scandinavian values, characterized by flat hierarchies, open communication, and supportive teamwork.

Additional Information

  • Vestas follows a fair and bias-free hiring process, evaluating applications based solely on skills, experience, and qualifications. Applicants are encouraged to omit personal details not relevant to job performance from their resumes.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion underpins all hiring decisions.
  • Candidates should be aware of recruitment fraud and only engage with official Vestas channels.
