About the Role

Our client, a pioneering aerospace engineering firm located in Shannon, County Clare, is dedicated to developing cutting-edge flight control systems tailored for traditional aircraft and the expanding Advanced Air Mobility (eVTOL) market. Due to growth, they are looking to hire a Quality Engineer to oversee and enhance their Quality Management System, supporting the production of strictly regulated aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards including AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Support activities related to EASA Part 21G Production Organisation Approval.
  • Conduct comprehensive internal quality audits and coordinate with customers as well as regulatory bodies during external audits.
  • Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective measures for quality issues.
  • Manage supplier quality performance and perform supplier audits.
  • Develop and uphold quality procedures and related documentation.
  • Generate quality metrics reports for management review.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing quality processes.
  • Prepare detailed inspection plans and manage quality documentation.
  • Coordinate calibration schedules for production and inspection equipment.

Candidate Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or similarly regulated manufacturing sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Experience in managing both internal and external audit processes.
  • Strong capabilities in problem-solving and root cause investigation.
  • Effective communication skills and excellent documentation proficiency.
  • Familiarity with EASA Part 21G is highly advantageous.
