Quality Engineer (Manual Testing)

About the Role

This position involves ensuring high-quality software delivery by rigorously executing manual tests aligned with defined requirements and user stories. The quality engineer develops detailed test cases, detects and records defects, and collaborates closely with delivery teams to guarantee reliable and user-ready product releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Work independently to become a Subject Matter Expert in manual testing.
• Actively engage in team discussions and contribute ideas.
• Participate in problem-solving related to work challenges.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure thorough test coverage and quality assurance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, defects, and results for transparency and traceability.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing and recommend actionable solutions.
• Assist junior team members by sharing expertise and helping with test execution and defect evaluation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Functional Test Planning is required.
• Experience with Java programming is advantageous.
• Strong skills in designing and executing manual test cases based on detailed requirements and user stories.
• Experienced in detecting, documenting, and tracking software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with test management tools and methodologies to facilitate organized testing processes.
• Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration and quality enhancement.

Additional Information

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Functional Test Planning is mandatory.
• The job location is Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
• Candidates should have completed 15 years of full-time education.
