About the Role
Dr. D Pharma is seeking a skilled Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of pharmaceutical finished products from external manufacturers. Located in Panchkula, Haryana, this position involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring punctual delivery of products, and facilitating smooth coordination across various internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle for pharmaceutical finished goods.
- Liaise with third-party producers to align production planning with delivery timelines.
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders efficiently.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with both current and potential vendors.
- Carry out negotiations on pricing, payment conditions, and delivery dates with suppliers.
- Oversee inventory levels to prevent shortages or surplus stock.
- Follow up on production progress and shipment schedules with manufacturers.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Warehouse, Dispatch, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and Accounting departments to streamline procurement operations.
- Guarantee procurement is conducted exclusively through approved vendors adhering to company quality standards.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including purchase records, quotations, and invoices.
- Address challenges such as delivery delays, stock shortages, or product damages promptly.
- Compile purchase reports and regularly update management on procurement status.
- Seek and implement cost-saving initiatives without sacrificing product quality.
Candidate Profile and Skills Required
- Proficient negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical finished goods procurement processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination capabilities.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and ERP, Tally, or equivalent inventory management systems.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure managing multiple suppliers simultaneously.
Experience
Candidates should possess at least one year of practical experience in pharmaceutical purchasing with direct involvement in finished goods procurement. Preference will be given to those with experience in PCD Pharma or third-party manufacturing environments.
Compensation
The monthly remuneration ranges from 20,000 to 50,000 INR.
