Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive techno-commercial proposals covering filter presses and related equipment including hydraulic systems, pumps, filter plates, cloths, and accessories.
• Conduct sizing, configuration, and selection of equipment based on process data, slurry characteristics, and client needs.
• Produce detailed technical documents such as equipment datasheets, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings collaboratively with designers, scope of supply, and compliance statements.
• Estimate costs, prepare bills of materials, and define commercial pricing for proposals.
• Analyze RFQs, tenders, and process parameters including solids concentration, particle size, filtration cycles, and cake dryness demands.
• Advise on the most appropriate filter press types—manual, semi/automatic, recessed plate, and membrane presses.
• Specify design parameters including plate size and quantity, filtration area, operating cycle, and performance expectations.
• Select pumps, piping, hydraulic power packs, and automation systems suited to projects.
• Collaborate with design engineers for tailored technical solutions.
• Support sales with technical content during customer engagements, negotiations, and presentations.
• Ensure proposal compliance with customer specs, codes, and industry standards.
• Prepare tender documents, compliance matrices, clarifications, and deviation reports.
• Maintain organized records of proposals, costs, and quotations.

Required Skills

• In-depth knowledge of filter press tech, hydraulic and slurry systems, and solid-liquid separation.
• Experience in correct equipment sizing, calculations, and system choices.
• Proficient reading of GA drawings, P&IDs, and manufacturing schematics.
• Ability to handle multiple bids under tight timelines with high accuracy and documentation standards.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and precise documentation capabilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English, with additional languages considered advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, BE, or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 4 to 6 years’ experience in proposal or application engineering or equipment sales support related to process systems.
