About the Role
Transport for NSW is seeking a permanent full-time Project Support Officer located in Tweed Heads West, New South Wales. This position plays a crucial role in supporting a significant project that focuses on maintaining a safe and navigable entrance to the Tweed River and restoring coastal sand drift along the southern Gold Coast in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic team responsible for overseeing the Tweed Sand Bypassing project. Duties include project financial administration, organizational planning, communications, and providing comprehensive support across all aspects of the project. Serving as a pivotal contact person, the officer will handle inquiries and coordinate with various staff, agencies, government representatives, community members, and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants are proactive, highly organized, and have experience in project support, financial administration, and operational coordination. They should demonstrate clear and effective communication skills, manage multiple priorities efficiently, and consistently deliver precise and timely support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, notably Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential. The role also requires experience supporting senior management through projects, asset management, document management, and procurement processes.
Additional Information
- The salary is set at Maritime Officer 9 level, $114,088.00 per annum plus superannuation.
- The position is based in Tweed Heads, NSW, with a preference for candidates residing within one hour’s commute.
