About the Role
A top-10 ENR General Contractor with annual revenue exceeding $5 billion is seeking Project Executives to lead significant construction projects at various locations across the United States. This opportunity involves hands-on leadership at project sites, requiring on-location presence nationwide. The firm is also open to senior-level Project Managers ready to advance into an executive role.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage one or more large-scale construction projects from preconstruction and procurement phases through execution, turnover, and final closeout.
- Oversee project performance metrics including safety standards, quality control, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction at an executive level.
- Manage and mentor project teams comprising Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and other staff.
- Define project objectives, assign responsibilities, and establish clear reporting and accountability frameworks within the team.
- Develop and maintain robust partnerships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Supervise project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, cost reporting, change orders, and overall fiscal health.
- Contribute to business development initiatives.
- Assist in attracting, developing, and retaining highly capable project personnel.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in construction management working with General Contractors.
- Proven background as a Project Executive, Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or equivalent leadership roles.
- Senior Project Managers poised to transition into Project Executive positions are welcomed to apply.
- Experience managing complex projects in sectors such as commercial, data centers, healthcare, industrial, stadiums, and life sciences.
- Strong grasp of project financial management, forecasting, contract administration, schedule development, procurement, change management, and risk control.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing relationships with sophisticated clients and partners.
- Commercial acumen to safeguard project profitability while nurturing positive client relations.
- Track record of overseeing projects from initial phases to final completion and closeout.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to prioritize and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work onsite at designated project locations is mandatory.
- Flexibility for travel or relocation across projects is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with standard construction and project management software tools is advantageous.
- Preferred educational background in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines.
- Consistent employment history valued.
