Production Supervisor

Role Overview

The Production Supervisor will oversee production activities to maintain smooth, efficient manufacturing operations. This position is vital in a fast-paced production environment, requiring proficiency in complex processes and the ability to optimize daily workflow while minimizing expenses. The main objective is to guarantee that production yields high-quality products profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the handling and usage of spices according to departmental recipes and monitor their circulation and application methods.
• Oversee meat processing procedures to ensure compliance with recipes, tracking handling and addition methods.
• Monitor packing materials stock, usage, and minimize losses.
• Supervise machine operations by reviewing machine readings, ensuring correct usage, and coordinating disassembly, installation, and routine cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team promptly when equipment breakdowns occur.
• Make informed decisions and adapt flexibly by interpreting production plans and developing quick solutions for unexpected breakdowns.
• Adhere to good manufacturing practices throughout the production cycle.
• Generate and submit performance and progress reports regularly.
• Organize workflows by delegating tasks and preparing work schedules.
• Train and supervise production staff, emphasizing safe equipment use and procedure compliance.
• Inspect produced goods to verify conformity with specifications.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor within the frozen food or meat sector.
• Proficiency with various manufacturing machines and tools.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, veterinary sciences, or agriculture.
