Product Manager, Banking

Role Overview

We are a Series C fintech enterprise crafting cutting-edge banking infrastructure tailored for small and independent businesses. Our platform empowers hundreds of thousands of entrepreneurs by providing an integrated system to oversee cash flow, transfer money, and handle finances effortlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for core banking solutions, including deposit accounts, payment movement, card products, and supporting program infrastructure.
• Lead the comprehensive experience of account setup, funding mechanisms, deposits, and money transfer processes such as ACH, wire transfers, bill payments, and card transactions.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering teams managing ledger systems, payment rails, and card infrastructures that enable these flows.
• Conduct thorough, cohort-focused discovery rooted in customer insights and analytical data to identify impactful opportunities.
• Create precise and comprehensive product specifications, establish success metrics, and collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to release dependable and secure features on schedule.
• Integrate risk management, fraud mitigation, security, and regulatory compliance into the product development from inception through collaboration with Risk, Compliance, and Legal departments.
• Oversee product partnerships and system integrations with banking collaborators and essential third-party providers.
• Establish and monitor product metrics related to activation, user engagement, retention rates, cross-product adoption, and system reliability.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in product management handling complex, technical, or platform-focused products, particularly within fintech, banking, financial services, or payments.
• Proven success delivering customer-facing solutions in dynamic, growth-oriented, highly regulated environments, especially concerning money movement, deposits, cards, or financial infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of banking product domains including deposits, money rail operations (ACH, wire transfers, bill payments), account onboarding, and card program management.
• Comprehensive understanding of fintech and banking essentials such as security protocols, fraud detection, and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in drafting detailed product specifications and coordinating effectively with Engineering and Design to launch features.
• Strong data analytic capabilities with proficiency in product metrics and cohort data, apt at defining and tracking performance indicators.
• Experience working with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to navigate regulatory frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent professional experience.
• Eligible to work in the United States without need for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing third-party vendor relationships and banking partner product integrations.
• Familiarity with ledger technologies and core banking platforms.
• Background in products tailored to small business or SMB markets.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range: 160000 to 180000 USD.

This position is based in New York City requiring a hybrid working model, with consistent presence at the NYC office expected.
