Description de l'emploi
About Standard Bots
Standard Bots is creating a highly accessible robotics platform designed to integrate advanced automation into manufacturing and other sectors. Their intuitive hardware and software solutions aim to enhance human productivity significantly.
Role Overview
The industrial software landscape has long been marred by complexity and poor usability. At Standard Bots, the goal is to transform this by bringing consumer-level clarity and craftsmanship to industrial software. Unlike traditional software confined to screens, their products physically move metal, meaning that product decisions directly impact real-world operations. Confusing software can halt production lines, while well-crafted software enables robots to perform new valuable tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product discovery, crafting strategy, and managing delivery for a fundamental segment of the platform, tailored to your skills and interests.
- Deeply investigate customer challenges by engaging with users, visiting operational sites, studying manuals, and understanding real-world robot usage.
- Clearly define development goals and rationale, providing precise specifications for engineering teams.
- Collaborate closely on user experience, interaction flows, and functional behavior to ensure seamless feature integration.
- Partner with engineers and designers to iterate on prototypes, validate assumptions, and minimize risks early in the process.
Desired Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in product management, design, engineering, or a related hands-on discipline.
- Proven track record of developing and launching products that you are genuinely proud of, beyond just managing workflows.
- Strong critical thinking skills focused on customer problems and an ability to clarify ambiguity through structured decision-making.
- A keen design sense and attention to detail that drives a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Bonus: Experience or enthusiasm for industrial automation or robotics.
- Bonus: Residency in or near New York or openness to a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges between $160,000 and $225,000 annually, determined by experience. Compensation also includes eligibility for employee stock options. Full-time staff receive paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and 401(k) benefits.
