About the Role
Obble facilitates the initial two rounds of hiring processes for staffing agencies by using AI to conduct live interviews and delivering detailed reports and recordings to recruiters, eliminating prolonged phone screenings.
This position contributes to developing both backend systems managing every job position, candidate, and interview, and the frontend interfaces recruiters interact with daily. As one of a select group of engineers, your responsibilities will span broad tasks, including designing database schemas and access controls, building APIs, and implementing user-facing screens.
Responsibilities
- Translate initial problem descriptions into complete features used by staffing agencies, covering schema design, API development, and interface creation.
- Develop comprehensive tests to ensure reliable and timely software releases, considering the test suite as a fundamental gatekeeper to product quality.
- Maintain strict tenant data isolation to guarantee that every agency's data remains securely separated within the database.
- Design recruiter-facing interfaces with a strong focus on speed and clarity, treating product usability as an engineering priority.
Candidate Profile
- At least three years of experience developing production-grade web applications with full ownership of deliverables.
- Proficient in TypeScript programming, comfortable working with both Node.js APIs and React-based frontend code.
- Good understanding of relational database concepts, including the ability to analyze query execution plans and comprehend indexing strategies.
- Disciplined in documenting work clearly and thoroughly to support efficient communication within a remote team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with frameworks and technologies such as NestJS, Next.js, Drizzle ORM, and Postgres row-level security features.
- Experience working in small teams where requirements are self-defined rather than handed down.
